Former New York Jets linebacker Darron Lee has been arrested on four charges, including two counts of domestic violence and two counts of assault after he beat up his motherย
Lee is accused of attacking both his mother and Lindsey McGlone, who is the mother of his child, in separate events. Fans of the NFL player who hasn’t played in the league since 2020 were shocked to hear about his arrest. They had hoped he would come back.

TMZ Sports was able to find out that Lee was arrested on Tuesday morning and is now in jail. Monday, the police were called to Dublin, Ohio, because McGlone said that Candice Lee, Candice Lee’s mother, had been hurt by Lee.

Candice said that her son yelled at her and then pushed her against the wall, threw her to the floor, and punched her several times. It was McGlone who intervened and stopped the assault on Candice. The police later learned from McGlone about an earlier incident on October 17th where Lee had attacked her while accusing her of cheating.

McGlone said that Lee attacked her while they were in bed together in October and threatened to kill her and their child. Lee allegedly attacked her throat, and she was also hit by her phone when Lee threw it on the wall, and it rebounded onto her head. She says that she was attacked again as she went downstairs.

Lee’s recent troubles with the law have dashed any hopes of him ever returning to the football field. Even though he showed some promise in his first two years with the Jets, Lee turned out to be a first-round bust. He was never picked for the Pro Bowl or the All-Pro team, and he was never on a team that won a championship.

Lee was picked up by the Jets in 2016 and played for them for three seasons before being traded to the Chiefs in 2019. He played for the Buffalo Bills in 2020, and then he was a free agent.
