In recent days, reports have emerged about the anticipated merger of OTT platforms Jio Cinema and Disney+ Hotstar into a single entity called Jio Hotstar. This development follows the earlier merger of Star India into Reliance Jio’s Viacom 18. Shortly after media speculation suggested that Jio Hotstar might be the new name for the combined platform, a Delhi-based app developer acquired the domain jiohotstar.com.

Previously, a Delhi-based app developer held control of the domain, seeking Rs 1 crore from Reliance Industries for its rights. Reportedly, he had hoped to channel the funds toward his education abroad, expressing that he acquired the domain with the intention of financing his dream of studying at Cambridge through a merger.

By Friday evening, the developer’s messages were gone and a gushing letter came from siblings Jainam and Jivika. In their introduction, they mention that they are brother and sister living in Dubai, UAE and they are on a common mission to change the world for the better. Besides this, they also talked about their summer trip to India where they stayed for 50 days and interacted with children of different backgrounds.

The message on the domain now reads: “Hello! We are Jainam and Jivika – siblings from Dubai, UAE, on a mission to make a difference. Even though we’re just kids, we believe that age is only a number when it comes to spreading kindness and positivity. Our recent journey began during our summer holidays when we left our home in Dubai for 50 unforgettable days in India. We had a purpose: to connect with children from various backgrounds, share our love for learning, teach skills for studying and setting goals, and inspire them to dream big.

“Along the way, people showed their appreciation through gifts, blessings, and even small donations, which we collected over our travels. When we returned to Dubai, we used a portion of this collection to support a young software developer from Delhi by purchasing this domain for his benefit. Through sharing our journey here, we aim to inspire others and keep the domain open for future sale to anyone who wants to continue this positive mission.”

Jainam and Jivika’s website is a deeply personal account of their experiences, showcasing pictures, videos, and anecdotes that make the viewer emotionally attached to the wonderful kids they’ve met. They sidetracked their trip back to Dubai, where they decided to allocate part of the money collected from the donations to purchase a domain name for a young developer supported by them. Their aim is to keep it for sale in the future.
