In their lawsuit, the Petito family says that Chris and Roberta Laundrie knew their son killed Gabby, but they did nothing to tell the police. The FBI showed pictures of Brian’s notebook, in which he admitted to killing Gabby. Now, a lawyer for the Laundrie family, Steven Bertolino, is being sued by the family’s lawyer, claiming that Bertolino withheld parts of the letter.

Brian wrote in his notebook that he killed Gabby Petito. Earlier, it was said that Laundrie said Gabby had a wound and would be in pain when she woke up. He said that she had asked him to “end her life, mercifully,” so that’s what he did.

He is said to have written, “She would wake in pain, start her whole painful cycle again, while furious that I was the one waking her. She wouldn’t let me try to cross the creek, thought like me that the fire would go out in her sleep, and she’d freeze.”
Chris Laundrie knew about his son
In a strange twist, Chris was the one who found the notebook when he was looking for his son. During the search, he helped, he found a white plastic bag with some of his son’s things in it in a bushy area next to a trail. The new pictures came out after the Petito family sued Chris and Roberta Laundrie, accusing them of hiding information about how their daughter died.
