A team which was ripping apart the league during its golden period, the Golden State Warriors were unstoppable not too long back. Armed with some of the most stellar names in the land of the NBA, GSW were torching their way to the coveted title rampantly.

However, things started going on a downtick for them ensuing the 2018-19 season. As Kevin Durant departed the side, a string of players followed in his footsteps to leave the club paper thin.

A massive reason for KD deciding to part company with the side was his bust-up with peer Draymond Green. An extremely public spat between the two lead to colossal ramifications with Durant deciding to ply his wares elsewhere.

And it was only prudent that the main topic of conversation when Kevin Durant and Draymond Green sat down for a talk recently was going to be that rift. The two talked at length about the set of events which had unraveled during the period with Green going on to sell the Golden State Warriors’ down the river.

Green spoke about how coach Steve Kerr and team president Bob Myers were to largely blame for not getting the house in order at the club, a reasoning Durant concurred with.

“It wasn’t the argument,” Durant told Green. “It was the way that everybody, Steve Kerr acted like it didn’t happen. Bob Myers tried to just discipline you and think that would put the mask over everything,” he continued.

However, Stephen A Smith is far from impressed from the logic provided with two. He’s gone onto talk about how he’s been surprised by the two failing to bring up Steph Curry’s name even once, a player he believed should have played a role in bridging the gap between Durant and Green.
