High school acquaintance of Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale reportedly stated that she was astonished to find that the person she ran track with committed such a heinous massacre, know about her birth gender
Although being a woman by birth, Hale preferred the pronouns “he/him.” Police, however, have referred to the shooter as a woman. It is still unknown when or for how long, the 28-year-old was a student at the Covenant School. Before being shot dead by police, Hale murdered three students and three staff members.

The unnamed acquaintance recalled their time spent together from roughly 2011 to 2014 at the Nashville School of the Arts and described Hale as “kind and humorous.” When I met her, she was a sweet and humorous kid, but what she did was unforgivable, the buddy told Daily Mail, adding that “when she came out as trans (female to male), no one was surprised.”

“She certainly didn’t fit the stereotype of the school shooter. I have no idea what would have transpired to cause her to become the person we see in the headlines,” the friend continued.
Because she knew Hale as a woman before his transition after graduation, the acquaintance referred to him as “her.” The buddy of Hale said, “We were both in Visual Arts classes together and she was highly connected with the school and had multiple friends. We attended Nashville School of the Arts in high school where we had several trans students and others who were a member of the LGBTQ community.”
The whole thing is just unbelievable.
The friend cited Hale as an example of a team player. She was a fantastic member of the squad while we ran track for [Martin Luther King Jr. School] (a sister magnet school), according to the acquaintance. The defaulter completed a lot of projects and school activities, and she had a really great group of friends. Not at all what you would anticipate from a person in a news headline of this nature.
She further added that she would never defend anybody that would hurt a child. However, it’s still extremely difficult to accept that she committed this act. At first, she was certain that she had made a mistake. Everything about it seems so absurd.
Six innocents were killed in the mass shooting.
According to sources, Hale left behind a manifesto, although his motivation is still unknown. He was shot and killed by responding officers after being discovered on the second story of the school while brandishing two assault-style rifles and a pistol at the scene of the crime. He had no history of mental health issues and no arrests on his record.
The Covenant School was broken into by Hale as he was driving his automobile and brandishing his gun, according to a video obtained by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all nine years old, as well as Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61, were the victims of the shooting.
