In a bid to play the gallery and further strengthen his defence, Rittenhouse decided it was prudent to let the tap overflow as he cried profusely infront of a packed courtroom. Rittenhouse broke down in tears, saying: “I didn’t do anything wrong. I defended myself.”

The video of him which has since gone viral hasn’t quite resonated with everyone. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was someone who clearly wasn’t moved by Rittenhouse’s antics with him taking to Twitter to mock the murderer as he wrote, “What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court.”
Rittenhouse whose trial will continue on Thursday is being charged with two counts of homicide, one count of attempted homicide, recklessly endangering safety and illegal possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. The charges are extremely serious and given the loss of life of two people, Rittenhouse looks set to spend a sizeable time behind bars in the time to come.
Rittenhouse told the jury “If I would have let Mr. Rosenbaum take my firearm from me, he would have used it and killed me with it, and probably killed more people.”
