Fan films are mostly harmless expressions of gratitude that grant the wildest dreams of budding filmmakers and devoted fans of particular source materials or intellectual property by allowing them to put their own unique twist on renowned characters. This is true for both Spider-Man: Lotus and Superman: Solar, but not everyone has responded positively to them.

Once labeled the beginning of the “Racist Cinematic Universe,” a pair of controversial superhero fan films live up to their notoriety
Before the revelation of past racist behavior by a couple of key creatives, the web-slinging rip-off had the support of people like Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy director Jon Watts and the acknowledgment of Andrew Garfield. Although it did have a red carpet premiere not too long ago, the damage is probably permanent.
However, there has been no public scandal involving anyone associated with Superman: Solar. The internet, however, has noticed its blatantly conservative and far-right bias. Making the executive decision to henceforth refer to the historic Marvel/DC crossover as the “Racist Cinematic Universe.”
You can see that jokes about the “RCU” have been gaining traction on social media, but I highly doubt that Kevin Feige or James Gunn are worried that their own superhero playgrounds are in danger as a result of Spider-Man: Solar or Superman: Lotus.
