What has been the story?
These young women went missing between July 2007 and September 2010. They were found by the Suffolk County Police Department in September 2010, but nothing happened after that. For the ensuing 13 years, their cases were unresolved. At a news conference on July 14, 2023, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney revealed Heuermann’s arrest.

Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Lynn Costello, and Megan Waterman’s murders have been linked to Heuermann. Additionally, the suspect conducted more than 200 online searches related to the Gilgo Beach case. According to Tierney, he looked through photos of the victims and their loved ones as well. The suspect is thought to have been looking for those people. Heuermann reportedly also looked up “a lot of torture porn” online, including videos of abused, raped, and murdered women. Since the news went viral, Heuermann’s private life and past have drawn a lot of attention since his incarceration.

Heuermann, according to the New York Post, has a special needs child who stays with him in the run-down Long Island house where he was raised. He has had two marriages. Victoria Heuermann is his daughter from his second marriage to Asa Ellerup. Victoria was described as an employee of his New York City-based business, RH Consulting & Associates, Inc.
According to the organization’s website, Rex Heuermann, a Registered Architect, created RH Consultants & Associates, Inc. in 1994. “RHC has extensive experience providing over thirty years of service dealing with the New York City Building Code, the New York State Code, the NYC Department of Buildings, and all major city agencies.”
Is Rex Heuermann a Jew?
On Ellerup’s Facebook profile picture from 2015, Heuermann can be seen in the background. At the Long Island Jewish Medical Centre, Ellerup worked after graduating from Farmingdale High School. Because of this, the majority of people thought Heuermann was Jewish.
Several questionable web sites claim that Heuermann self-identifies as a Christian. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims.
