Born on May 4, 2005, Kenan Yildiz is a professional Turkish footballer, who plays forward for Juventus in Serie A and represents Turkey at the international level, despite being born in Germany.
Yildiz was eligible to play for both Germany and Turkey due to his heritage as he was born to a Turkish father and a German mother.
Kenan Yildiz, who was born in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, to a Turkish father, Engin, a self-taught footballer, and a German descent, Beate Hackl-Yildiz, began playing at the age of 3.
He started playing at the tender age trained by his father, who used YouTube videos and attended matches to teach his son.
Kenan is a Muslim by religion. While he is rumored to be dating Madison Beer, the two haven’t officially commented on their relationship. Beer is six years elder to Kenan.
Career
Standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing around 80 kg, Yildiz is a right-footed player with a medium work rate on FIFA 23.
His football journey began at the youth academies of Sallern Regensburg and Jahn Regensburg before joining Bayern Munich’s youth system at the age of 7 in 2012.
He captained several youth teams and became a key player for Bayern’s U19 squad, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in 20 matches during his final season in 2021-22.
After his contract with Bayern expired in July 2022, both Barcelona and Juventus expressed interest in the free agent. On July 12, Juventus announced Yildiz’s signing.
Initially part of the U19 squad, he was soon promoted to the Juventus Next Gen team, making his professional debut on December 16, 2022.
In October 2023, he received a call from Turkey senior national team for UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Croatia and Latvia.
Recently, in June 2024, Yildiz was selected in the UEFA Euro 2024 in the 26-man squad.
