In a 2022 interview, he said he wanted to move Argentina’s Israeli embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Then, in 2023, he told El Pais that he reads the Torah every day, sees the USA and Israel as allies, and is thinking about converting to Judaism if he becomes President, but knows it won’t be easy.

He mentioned being President might be tough because of the Sabbath, making the conversion tricky and “incompatible” with his role.
