Nonetheless, officials confirmed on Friday that Teeger will remain a member of the team. Even though the investigation found no misconduct on his part, his removal from the captaincy occurred amid controversy over the South African government’s claim of Israel’s genocide before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
At the event for the Jewish Achievement Awards, he said these things, as per a report by Hindustan Times:
I’m now the rising star, but the true rising stars are the young soldiers in Israel. And I’d like to dedicate it to the state of Israel and every single soldier fighting so that we can live and thrive in the diaspora.”
