During the Man United vs Man City match, for much of the time, it seemed United will loose the game, however, their resilience paid off in a spectacular way, securing what is undoubtedly the most memorable win of Amorim’s tenure so far.
The turning point in the thrilling match came in the 88th minute when City defender Matheus Nunes made a costly error. Attempting a pass back to goalkeeper Ederson from midfield, Nunes was intercepted by a lightning-quick Diallo.
Seizing the opportunity, Diallo surged into the penalty area and patiently waited for Ederson to advance. As Diallo positioned himself just inside the box, Nunes, desperate to recover, misjudged his challenge and fouled the Ivorian winger.
The referee awarded a penalty, which Bruno Fernandes confidently converted, sealing United’s remarkable comeback.
