The challenge requires a coin, phone charger, metal prongs which eventually lead to a fire. When the trend become viral, the Major of the Louisville Fire Department, Bobby Cooper came forward to warned the users.
At the time, the major stated “It’s simple enough to say don’t do the stupid stuff but, you gotta have a conversation and explain what the hazard is”.
If you’re wondering how the long-gone challenge of 2020 again started making headlines, let us tell you, the challenge once again emerged after Amazon’s Alexa told a 10-year-old to do this challenge at her home.
Earlier, the mother of the kid took to Twitter and revealed “OMFG My 10 year old just asked Alexa on our Echo for a challenge and this is what she said.”
After that the company responded in their statement to BBC media outlet, and stated that customers trust is their center of everything and that Alexa is design according to provide “accurate, relevant, and helpful information to customers.”
They further added that, after they got to know about the error, they quickly took action in fixing it.
