Kool-Aid Man Challenge Explained
A surveillance video that has been recently captured shows a group of people charging another fence at different homes situated in West Omaha. The footage of the Kool-Aid Man Challenge went viral on social media which is getting the attention of law enforcement.
“They get into a group mentality where one of them thinks they have good ideas and the others go along with it,” stated Lt. James Wrigley, Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office.
Wrigley revealed that her department has responded to eight calls of this happening all across his county. In the case of the mentioned video, around $3500 worth of damage was done to the fence.
Lindsay Anderson, who is an Operations Manager at S&W Fence stated, ‘this kind of damage is not normal to fix. The Current supply shortages make their job even harder. Vinyl pricing is more than doubled after the pandemic. The cost of repairing them for people is sometimes more than the price they paid to get their fencing.”
Johnson stated, ‘he wants to see people doing this face real consequences. They need to learn a lesson, big time. It can’t just be a slap on the hand.’
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office stated, “they are still looking for individuals in the video. Those who are responsible for damaging could face the criminal mischief charges, and also severity of those charges would depend upon damage to property.”
The damage is not much easy to fix and can be quite expensive. The past weekend, Johnson came close to losing them after they escaped from the backyard of a West Omaha home. His dogs escaped while Johnson was in the shower.
“I get out after taking a shower, I notice there’s a message on my phone, ‘I got your dog’,” stated Johnson.
That’s when Johnson came out, he realized his fence got broken which was how the dog escaped from home. Luckily, Johnson was able to recover his animals, but he also has to pay $800 expense to replace the fence, and he is not alone.
