Earlier, social media users were busy trolling and spamming Khan’s Instagram photos as they flooded his comment section with offensive comments like ‘Hakla translated to stammerer,’ etc. The comments were accompanied by a meme of Shah Rukh Khan with a Mohawk and ponytail hairstyle along with him laughing in his traditional style, a GIF which has since gone viral as the Hakla Shahrukh meme since with Duolingo and various famous Instagram accounts hopping in on the trend as well.

However, Instagram was quick to take down the GIF with the meme vanishing from comments on the platform with many claiming this was done by the actor’s PR to protect his image. SRK has over the years been trolled as hakla, a term used to make fun of his K-K-Kiran dialogue, one where the actor is stammering as he delivers his now infamous dialogue. The meme has also inspired similar GIFs of Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Uorfi Javed with all trending in Instagram comments.

King Khan who is usually active on social media platforms, especially on X/Twitter, and Instagram, has been keeping quiet for a while. Though the actor was silent online, however, he is still making headlines after many took to the photo-sharing platform and started trolling him with sharing morphed images, altered clips and GIFs, and mocking comments.

It all started after the movie ticket booking website Book My Show added Shah Rukh Khan’s much anticipated upcoming movie “King,” whose production just started recently. The loyal fanbase of the actor immediately started hyping the movie online, with various troll detractors hoping in as they start criticising the actor.
Though, it isn’t the first time, when the actor has become a subject of online troll. Over the years, as a one of the biggest names in the Bollywood industry had made him a repeated target of online hate campaigns.

Though at the time of writing this piece, there isn’t much information available about the forthcoming film, however, as per the official IMDb page of the movie, the film is being directed by Siddharth Anand, and jointly written by Anand and Sujoy Ghosh.
The film stars Khan and Deepika Padukone in the main lead. Various reports suggest that Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan will also debut in the industry through the movie, sharing the screen alongside her father.
