The WNBA on Sunday decided to upgrade Chennedy Carter’s foul on Caitlin from a common foul to a flagrant-1 violation.
Chennedy has since been mocked for her looks online with many going onto call her a man and even a transgender. However, Carter’s biological gender is female.
Chennedy Carter Atlanta Dream suspension
Back in the 2021 season, Chennedy Carter’s got into an argument with her teammate Courtney Williams who suggested Carter to get more engaged in supporting her teammates from the bench. Following the incident, Atlanta did not play Carter for the rest of the game and announced the suspension afterward.
According to reports, Carter approached Williams to make her point about a lack of playing time which impacted her mood. However, Williams did not pay heed to that excuse and the pair almost got into a fight. Mike Peterson, who was the interim head coach for Atlanta Dream back then stated the following about Carter’s suspension:
She’s working through stuff with ownership to try to get a process where she can return.”
After the incident, Chennedy Carter never played again for Atlanta and finished the season with just 11 games. Luckily for Carter, the Los Angeles Sparks signed her in 2022 and gave her a fresh new start
Chennedy Carter hard foul on Caitlin Clark
Chennedy Carter had a decent outing against Clark showcasing her defence but her foul against Clark backfired. Despite the extent of the foul, Clark was pretty calm about it and simply brushed it off after the game. She stated how she did not expect a hard hit like that but she expected more physical plays similar to it.

She currently plays for the Chicago Sky of the Women’s National Basketball Association. Prior to joining the WNBA, she played college basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies. She was born to parents, Shonda Perkins, and Broderick Carter. Chennedy is currently 25 years old and stands at a height of 1.75 m.
