The 49-year-old is a former actor, comedian, and satirist turned politician, commonly known as “Comedy King” and “Jugnu.”
He is currently the chief minister of Punjab, representing the Aam Admi Party. He is a Punjab sansad and first joined the party as the convener.
He was the only leader of the Aam Aadmi Party who won the Lok Sabha (Sangrur) election for the second time in a row. In 2012, he contested the elections while remaining in the same party but lost.

Bhagwant Mann was born on October 17, 1973, in a Sikh family to Mohinder Singh and Mother Harpal Kaur. He hails from Sunam tehsil of Sangrur district, Punjab.
