The viral video features Badminton player Huang Yaqiong holding a flowers bouquet as she saw her boyfriend Liu Yuchen, pulling out a ring from his pocket and getting down on one knee to propose to her.
The arena, packed with enthusiastic fans and fellow players, erupted in cheers as Liu got down on one knee and proposed to Huang, who had just secured her first gold medal for China in badminton with a mixed doubles victory.
Liu gave his to be wife a darry ring which can only be bought once in a life time by a person. The Darry Ring Agreement refers to an “Agreement of True Love” that couples are required to sign when they first purchase a DR diamond ring and in the True Love Agreement, there will be a solemn vow stating that for richer or poorer, in sickness or in health, you will be the true love of each other’s lives.

The Incident took place after Huang Yaqiong won a gold medal on Friday, August 2 after her medal ceremony at the Paris Olympics 2024. The crowd’s excitement soared as Huang triumphed in mixed doubles alongside Zheng Si Wei, dominating the competition.
Wearing her gold medal, Huang was about to leave the arena when her boyfriend Liu made the unforgettable proposal. Overwhelmed by the emotion, Huang tearfully said Yes!
After the surprised proposal, Huang Yaqiong, expressed that she had no idea about the proposal and the engagement ring in Paris as she was solely focused on preparing for the games.

Competing in the men’s doubles event with his partner Ou Xuan Yi, Liu Yuchen, didn’t advance past the group stage after a challenging draw. Liu, widely recognized as the Tokyo Olympics silver medalist, faced tough competition in Paris.
On the other hand, Huang Yaqiong alongside her doubles partner clinched the first badminton Gold medal decisively defeating Kim Won Ho and Jeong Na Eun within just 41 min with scores of 21-8, 21-11.
