The 41-year-old football pundit is reportedly consider taking legal action against the BBC after dropped from The One Show and Match of the Day for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to female colleagues.

As per reports, the former footballer was removed immediately after BBC executives claimed to have โ€œabsolute evidenceโ€ that Jenas sent โ€œsuggestiveโ€ texts to junior staff members on The One Show, which he may find difficult to contest.

This development follows Jenasโ€™ public apology in an interview, where he expressed deep regret.

During the alleged interview, Jenas said, โ€œI am ashamed, and I am deeply sorry. I have let myself, my family, friends, and colleagues down, and I owe everyone an apologyโ€”especially the women I was messaging. I am so, so sorry.โ€

While the messages and texts he sent are yet to be revealed as more employees come forward, Jenas went onto ascertain that the exchange was purely concensual. Those who have seen the content of the messages which have been sent to at least one runner via WhatsApp, said they were horrified.

Jenas insisted “I did nothing illegal” and argued the messages were with “two consenting adults”. “With one she made it clear she was interested,” he added.

Jermaine Jenas is also considering suing the BBC after it emerged he had allegedly sent suggestive messages to junior staff on The One Show and these were inappropriate messages between two consenting adults.

โ€œIn that particular instance, there was an adult conversation that took place in a bar in London where that person made it very clear that they had an attraction to me. Yes there was alcohol involved but I take full responsibility,” he said.

He acknowledged that he has a problem and is seeking help, admitting to a pattern of self-destructive behavior in his relationships. While he admitted to falling short of the responsibility expected of a BBC member, Jenas emphasized that there was no criminal activity involved.
