According to the FBI, Jabbar, the assailant from New Orleans who ran his truck into a crowd, killing 15 in the process, most certainly did not act alone. His colleagues are still missing. Both Shamsud Din Jabbar and Matthew Livelsberger were employed at the same military installation, Fort Bragg. Livelsberger joined the Army in 2006, while Jabbar joined in 2007. Whether the two attacks were likewise related is still unknown.
A Tesla cyber truck exploded in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day, while New Orleans was still in the wake of the horrific attack. The explosion claimed the life of the driver, Matthew Livelsberger, a Colorado Springs native and former Army veteran. Although sources verified Livelsberger’s identity to KOAA and KTNV, officers have not publicly identified him as the bomber.
Officials verified that Livelsberger was an Army soldier on active duty. According to his LinkedIn profile, Livelsberger served in the Special Forces for 18 of his 19 years in the Army. Before being promoted to operations manager and team sergeant in February 2023, he is thought to have joined the Green Berets in January 2006 as a communication expert.

At least 15 people were killed when New Orleans attacker Shamsud Din Jabbar crashed his truck through a crowd on Bourbon Street over the New Year. He opened fire on the police officers following the atrocity and was killed in the short-lived gunfight. Turo also rented him a car.
Jabbar was stationed in Afghanistan from February 2009 to February 2010 and spent nearly eight years in the US Army. After leaving active duty in January 2015, he switched to the Army Reserve, and in July 2020, he exited the reserves as a staff sergeant.

Whether Livelsberger and Jabbar acted together or whether there was any relationship between the two incidents is unknown.
