One of the most OG Minecraft players and YouTube streamers, Technoblade, passed away after battling with Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer, know what is it, its meaning, symptoms and treatment
Technoblade was a dedicated Minecraft player and streamer and is a significant member of the gaming community. His demise has left gamers all across the world bereaved. Just before passing away, the 23-year-old streamer/gamer, in a heart-rending final video, revealed his first name as Alex.
What Is Sarcoma, Cancer Technoblade Had Before His Death, Meaning, Symptoms And Survival Rate Explained
Alex brought the news of his tragic condition into light, back in August of 2021. Ever since then, he has been a strong advocate for creating awareness about sarcoma. While battling the terminal disease himself, Technoblade helped assist the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) in raising charity money. Through his YouTube streams and videos, the streamer/gamer helped raise funds for cancer research.
He managed to raise around $500k through his online content, becoming one of the chief exponents of the fund drive. As a result, the SFA was dismayed by the loss of one of their most esteemed advocates. In the light of his death, the Sarcoma Foundation of America stated their appreciation towards the YouTuber:
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Technoblade. His generosity and selflessness were evident when he was able to rally his fans and followers to raise over $500,000 for SFA to date… We are overwhelmed by their outpouring of love, support, and generosity and want to thank everyone who made donations in his honor. ”
The SFA also made a special announcement, promising to award Alex with the Courage Award during the Sarcoma Gala in September. Sarcoma survivors or distinguished advocates of the disease, such as Technoblade receive this award annually in recognition of their acts.
About 1% of adults in the USA with cancer have sarcoma, while 20% childhood cancers fall into the category andhis particular variant is a cancer of connective tissues — namely nerves, joints, bones, and blood vessels. Sarcoma tumors primarily target limbs and bout 16,000 new cases of this type of cancer are diagnosed in the United States every year.

Technoblade’s passing has left the entire gaming community greiving as condolence messages have come pouring in from all sources. Gamers across the world have expressed their love and support for him and his loved ones.
Other famous Minecraft players like Skeppy and Dream, who were dear friends to the YouTuber, posted loving homages. Technoblade’s dedication to the game, his fans, and also towards the SFA, has made him a true legend. A legend loved and admired by many. It is really depressing to know that the YouTuber/gamer has passed away, but his achievements and contributions continue to live on.
