How Come The WNBA Star Was In Detention?

In February 2022, Brittney was detained in Russia for bringing hashish oil with her on her flight from New York. She spent 294 days in prison before being freed on December 8.

According to NBC News, the Russian Federal Customs Service claimed to have found cartridges carrying hashish oil in the basketball star’s luggage, which led to her detention at Sheremetyevo Airport south of Moscow. She entered a plea of guilty on August 4 following the start of her trial in July. She was later given a nine-year jail term.
