Both the clubs have been asked to appear for a meeting with the French football authorities after Nice vs Marseille was suspended owing to a fight during the outing
Just at a time when it looked like French football was about to take over the world stage with PSG signing Lionel Messi, the league has managed to sink into a soup. And the Nice ultras are squarely to blame for the predicament Ligue 1 finds itself in with them causing chaotic debacle during Nice vs Marseille on Sunday night.
Throwing a bottle at Dimitri Payet as he went to take a corner for Marseille, Nice supporters faced retaliation as Payet threw the bottle back at them. It was a gesture which irked their decadent nature as they rushed onto the pitch to have a go at Payet and the Marseille players.
Rushing back into the dressing room, the Marseille refused to step back onto the pitch. Despite the French football association asking the visitors to complete the encounter and the Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere appealing for calm on the stadium’s public address system, the Marseille players refused to step back onto the pitch.

The match was ultimately abandoned with the French Professional League summoning both the clubs to a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday to further discuss matters and go through what had transpired.
“Those fans should clearly never have been allowed to get onto the pitch,” French Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu said ensuing the scuffle.
Meanwhile Marseille president Pablo Longoria and Benoit Payan, the mayor of the city have both gone onto throw their weight the club and their decision to not indulge in the shenanigans.
“Proud of my team for not being prepared to take part in this masquerade,” Payan wrote on Twitter.
