Speculations are rife regarding the reason behind Rodri’s eyebrows vanishing

Manchester City midfielder Rodri is making headlines after the 27-year-old Spanish footballer commends Liverpool and Arsenal for pushing his team to excel in the Premier League title race.

Under Pep Guardiola’s guidance, City secured their fourth consecutive top-flight crown by defeating West Ham United on the season’s final day, edging out Arsenal.

Despite a challenging previous season, Liverpool surprised many by contending near the top of the table.

While Liverpool held moments of prominence, they ultimately couldn’t match the pace set by City and Arsenal as the campaign reached its climax.

Jurgen Klopp concluded his successful nine-year tenure at Anfield with a second Carabao Cup victory, highlighted by Virgil van Dijk’s decisive header in extra time.

Guardiola and Klopp cultivated a fierce rivalry during their Premier League tenure.

Although Liverpool clinched the top-flight title in 2020, Guardiola’s side often got the better of their Merseyside counterparts, despite Liverpool amassing record points.

What Did Rodri Say?

Rodri commended the resilience of their Premier League adversaries in the battle for supremacy in May. He remarked,“ Maintaining that mindset until the end, alongside Arsenal and Liverpool, was commendable.

“They had an exceptional season right until the end. But the ability to sustain that mindset until the final whistle is truly remarkable.”

Rodri’s remarks stirred controversy following City’s triumph over West Ham on the final day. He pointedly critiqued Arsenal’s mindset after they played to a goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium.

“It all comes down to mentality,” he asserted. “Arsenal also deserved recognition for their remarkable season, but I sensed a difference in mentality when they faced us here at the Etihad.

“It seemed they were content with a draw rather than seeking victory. I doubt we would approach it the same way. Ultimately, that mindset made a difference.”

In the midst of this, a post on Twitter/X has gone viral claiming the City midfielder indulges in heavy doping and drug abuse which has lead to his eyebrows falling off over the years. The post claims that hair loss is one of the most common symptoms of chronic PED abuse which is why Rodri has gone onto lose his facial hair.

However, this claim has no backing with Rodri never having been caught by the Premier League or any football authority and neither has he failed any doping test in his career. The reason behind him having no eyebrows is yet to be ascertained though with the player not commenting on it.

Spain Announced Provisional Squad

However, Aston Villa defender Pau Torres and Tottenham’s Pedro Porro did not make the cut. Manager Luis de la Fuente revealed a 29-man squad, which must be trimmed by three players before the deadline on June 7th.
