If you’re wondering whether Bagan can win the World Cup, let us make it clear, Clubs are unable to participate in the FIFA World Cup, which Argentina recently won. It is a competition between nations. Therefore, NO in that respect! The World Cup cannot be won by Mohun Bagan. India can win the World Cup and qualify for it, but not any club.

The FIFA Club World Cup is the World Cup that Mohun Bagan has a chance to win. Mohun Bagan is eligible to participate in the Club World Cup, an annual competition between the best continental clubs, and if they prevail, they will be crowned champions of the competition.

It is uncommon for national teams to play clubs in matches. A nation and a club can now participate in a competitive match. However, a national team and a club can participate in a friendly game or exhibition match for a charitable cause. However, those contests are regarded as unofficial matches because they lack any competitive value.

Prior to this, ATK Mohun Bagan FC won the Indian Super League (ISL) title after defeating Bengaluru FC on penalties in the championship game. Mamata Banerjee announced a financial incentive for the champions worth 50 lakh as a way to express her happiness over the Kolkata-based club’s victory.

Beyond the field of play, Banerjee has big plans for Mohun Bagan, including winning the world championship and bringing it to India. She said, “We need to win the war on the world stage. The World Cup should come. Through you, I want to bring the World Cup.”
