French footballer Kylian Mbappe, who is currently out on vacation with former PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi, recently posted a photo with a ‘Hookah’ in the background prompting all kinds of backlash.
The Los Blancos striker recently shared a series of pictures showing him enjoying his vacation together with Achraf Hakimi.

Mbappe has so far played in 13 Real Madrid games across all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and bagging one assist.

Kylian Mbappe recently made headlines, drawing backlash from Madrid fans after posting a photo with Achraf Hakimi with a Hookah/Shisha in the background. Mbappe is currently back in Paris amidst the international break after failing to make the national team. Didier Deschamps, who is the head coach of the French national team, left Mbappe off of France’s mid-November UEFA Nations League roster.
Notably, Mbappe has been out of the team ever since last October following a minor thigh injury. As a result, Mbappe is back in Paris and catching up with old friends and former PSG teammates Hakimi and Tenas. While sharing a series of photos on his Instagram, one of the pictures sparked intense criticism from Madrid fans. The picture with Achraf Hakimi shows the pair having a laid-back break while playing PlayStation with a Hooka/Shisha in the background.

Fans criticise Kylian Mbappe
Notably, fans of “Los Blancos,” were not impressed with the photo of Mbappe and Hakimi with a Hookah in the background. Although there was no proof that either player was smoking it, fans have come out on social media to express their displeasure.
One Real Madrid supporter stated on social media:
Just what we needed – seeing Mbappe spend his break with a shisha in the background. It seems that he disregards all Madridista ideals.”
Meanwhile, another fan stated:
Focus on our team’s current situation instead of this crap”
Aside from the said picture of the Hookah with Achraf Hakimi, Mbappe also shared more other pictures of himself playing paddle tennis with Arnau Tenas and Hakimi.
