In light of the possibility that Brittney Griner will serve nine years in prison in Russia for allegedly bringing vape cartridges containing cannabis oil into the country. The return of rumours about her engagement to NBA star Anthony Davis, however, briefly gave the two-time Defensive Player of the Year in the WNBA optimism. It should be noted that while many have advocated for Griner’s release and shown support for her, Davis has remained silent, probably because of their purported prior relationship.

Did Griner ever date Anthony?
WNBA player Glory Johnson and Griner allegedly got married, albeit their relationship did not last long, according to Marca. Following her request for marriage annulment, it appears that the basketball player started dating Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers, according to recently revealed claims.
Davis apparently spoke about the relationship once and appeared to be deeply in love, despite the fact that it was mainly kept a secret at the time. He also cracked a joke about how they sometimes share things because they wear the same size shoes and clothes.
The romance seems to have been short-lived. Soon later, they reportedly split up without explanation from either party. Although their relationship’s start date is uncertain, it is safe to presume that it began in 2015, following the divorce of Johnson and Griner. But the first rumours of the two becoming engaged came in 2013.
Davies denies the rumours of their engagement.
Davis dismissed the engagement rumours with lightning speed. He clarified his condition in a tweet that he wrote on Twitter, writing, “Whoever made that idea up about me being engaged is corny. People, I AM NOT engaged.”

Regarding the current situation, the US Government has been working with Russia to set up a prisoner exchange scheme in an effort to bring Griner home. Griner’s homecoming has been predicted in a variety of ways, but none have attracted as much attention as rumours that she may start dating again.
