The BetVictor Welsh Open snooker 2022 is underway and reached Round of 32 matches, we take a look at the results, schedule, draw, prize money, dates, time, TV coverage 

It is the Welsh Open’s 12th ranking event of the 2021–22 snooker season, and the 31st since its inception in 1992.

Jordan Brown was the defending champion, having defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan 9–8 in the final of the 2021 Welsh Open Snooker. However, he suffered an early loss at the qualifiers against Mitchell Mann. Brown lost the match 3-4 against Mann.

Welsh Open Snooker 2022 Tournament Schedule, Dates, Tickets And Venue

The event is being held at Celtic Manor Resort in Newport. The final is slated for Sunday, March 6th. The tournament qualifying rounds continued from 15^th February to 20^th February. Tickets for the fixtures can be bought here.

On the second day, all qualifying matches ended and majority of Round of 64 players were settled. Remaining Round of 64 matches are scheduled to be played on 2^nd March.

Tournament Format And Rules

Up until the quarter-final stage, all games will be best of seven frames. The quarterfinals are best of nine frames.

The semi-finals are best of eleven frames, and the final will be best of seventeen frames.

Welsh Open Snooker 2022 Day 2 Results

On the second day of Welsh Open, most of the round of 64 matches took were settled. Judd Trump advanced to the Round of 32 at the Welsh Open with a 4-1 victory against Craig Steadman. He will face Si Jiahui from China in the Round of 32.

The tournament winner will receive £70,000 in prize money, while the losing finalist will receive 30,000 Pounds. The net prize pool of the tournament will be 4,05,000 Pounds.
