When a mysterious force embarks on a monstrous killing spree in a local town, Wednesday tries to master her emerging psychic ability and help out her parents whilst making new friends. “Addams Family’s original star Christina Ricci has played the character named Marilyn Thornhill and this has been quite awkward for me.” Wednesday star Jenny Ortega stated.
“I think she is a really fantastic character actress. I know her in my head as Wednesday, so it was a bit intimidating. But she’s so wonderful as well as super talented.” Ortega told Variety. “It felt wrong.”
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Riki Lindhome, and Gwendoline Christie are also starring in this typical comedy. The fans are most probably wondering whether it will be returning for a second season or not at present.
Return Of Wednesday For Season 2
Netflix hasn’t yet declared whether the Wednesday will be officially back for a second 2 but the show’s creators are still hoping for more and more from this incarnation of the Addams Family.
Speaking to the media about the show’s future, its co-creator Alfred Gough stated, “Miles and I are talking about it. There’s definitely more that can be explored in the Addamses’ world.”
Moreover, star Jenna Ortega who will be playing the titular Wednesday told NME, ‘she has “no idea” if the show will come back.’ We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed.
Filming on the Tim Burton project began in September last year and finished in March 2022 – and so it’s unlikely we would see a second season of Wednesday until the beginning of 2024 at the earliest.
