Why was Young Thug in court?
Prosecutors in Atlanta claimed in a petition that Grammy-winning rapper Young Thug and a racketeering co-defendant engaged in a hand-to-hand drug exchange in the courtroom. On Wednesday, prosecutors in Fulton County claimed that surveillance footage from the courthouse had captured the purported dialogue.
Rapper Jeffery Lamar Williams and Adams are accused of engaging in criminal street gang activity and conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
Who is Kahlieff Adams?
Adams, who was convicted of murder in 2019, is also a defendant in the case and is currently receiving a life term at the Hays State Prison. Following his trial for conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and attempted murder, he returned to the courtroom.
However, after his recent antics in court where he allegedly distributed a drug, he is now facing charges of alcohol possession by an inmate, marijuana possession of less than an ounce, two counts of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
