On Wednesday, the Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 40th IPL 2022 match at Wankhded Stadium in Mumbai. GT needed 22 runs in the final over. Rashid Khan smashed two sixes off the last two balls of Marco Jansen’s over to win the match for GT. Muttiah Muralidharan, SRH’s spin-bowling coach, lost his calm during Jansen’s costly final over.

SRH Bottled An Easy Matchย ย ย
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s third loss in eight IPL 2022 matches wouldn’t have stung them any more than the fact that they were on the verge of winning their sixth match in a row.
If SRH do not make the playoffs, they must remember the just ended match against Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium. Since they had complete control till the final over.

In a match that they should’ve won in the grand scheme of things, GT all-rounder Rahul Tewatia (40*) and vice-captain Rashid Khan (31*) had other ideas, blasting one and three sixes respectively in the final over. Tewatia and Khan put up a 24-ball 59-ball run sixth-wicket partnership, hitting 22 runs (the second-highest in IPL history) off Marco Jansen’s final over.
Jansen appeared to have no clue against a punishing show of batting on Wednesday. He did not bowl according to the plan. As a result, the left-arm bowler finished with an equal fifth-highest run total (63) and one of the most costly periods in IPL history.

Muttiah Muralitharan, the Sunrisers’ strategy and spin-bowling coach, witnessed Jansen’s inability to contain a non-specialist batter in Khan.
While Muralitharan had every right to be unhappy after witnessing a match turn in before of his eyes. The great bowler was seen in a rare rage over the loss. Muralitharan’s photographs and video went viral across social media platforms in no time. Despite the fact that he does not get upset or even express his emotions publicly.
Hyderabad are now in third place on the points rankings. Now, they will meet defending champions Chennai Super Kings in Pune on Sunday.
