Laura McAllister has addressed the issue.
Former Wales footballer Laura McAllister, a trustee of the FAW Trust, was among the female supporters who were prohibited from accessing the stands while wearing hats.
When the fans were denied access, Laura McAllister told ITV that being from a country that is very passionate about equality for all people, she informed them that she wasn’t going to take her hat off because FIFA had made numerous declarations about supporting LGBT rights throughout this tournament. They insisted that they weren’t truly permitted to enter the stadium until they took the cap off.
The distinctive Welsh football logo is also featured on the caps, which were created by the LGBTQ+ football organisation The Rainbow Wall to encourage inclusion and equality in the game.
Wales and the USA match ended in a draw.
Regarding the match, Gareth Bales turned in another crucial performance of his career by tying the score with a late penalty goal and assisting his team in rescuing a point against the USA. The USA took the lead thanks to a goal from Timothy Weah in the 36th minute, but they couldn’t hold onto it the rest of the way.
