Though there is a lot of excitement surrounding his Blaugrana debut, more attention has probably been paid to a video that shows Roque referring to Cristiano Ronaldo as his idol.

Vitor Roque, an 18-year-old talent, was ultimately signed by Barcelona in the summer, and he would formally join the senior team in January of the following year. The Brazilian wonderkid also mentioned in a tweet from 2021 that Cristiano Ronaldo was better than everyone else. Vitor Roque wrote in the aforementioned tweet: “Please donโt compare Cristiano Ronaldo with anyone.”
Roque’s choice of role model may cause division among Barcelona supporters. But if the young striker at Camp Nou can even partially emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s form, Catalonia’s problems would be the last thing to emerge.
With 29 goals this season in Brazil, Roque is already considered one of the top young talents available. Barcelona, the current Spanish champions, paid an estimated โฌ40 million plus add-ons for Roque’s services, so they would expect him to start playing right away.

For Blaugrana supporters, Roque’s admission that he is a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo is nothing new, as other Barcelona players have already listed the star as their idol. Ferran Torres is the most recent of several Barcelona players who have stated that they once idolized the Portuguese sensation.

But he also acknowledged that the Al Nassr forward had inspired him, stating that even though Lionel Messi is the best player in history, he also thinks Cristiano Ronaldo is an idol since he always competed with the best player in history with incredible merit.
Joao Felix, Torres’ Barcelona colleague, has also publicly praised his illustrious countryman, saying in 2019 (via Record): Cristiano is his childhood idol, and he has been an example in everything for him.
