Kohli was spotted speaking to Ashwin from the first slip after Ashwin bowled a dot ball to Khawaja from the third delivery.

According to the video, his Hindi words were:

Ash… yeh maar raha hai”

Which in English means, “Ash… he is going to hit you,” while lengthening his hand in a gesture. Usman Khawaja gave Kohli a big smile as he recognised this.

As soon as Kohli learned that Khawaja was born in Pakistan and spoke Urdu, a language related to Hindi, he understood what he had said to the Indian spinner.

Following this, Kohli began to clap his hands and started laughing loudly.

Meanwhile, in the last session of Day 2 of the Delhi Test, Shreyas Iyer made a spectacular catch to eliminate Australia’s opener, Usman Khawaja. Iyer pulled the catch out of thin air to give India their first success, showcasing his exceptionally quick reflexes in the process.

When Khawaja attempted to paddle-sweep Ravindra Jadeja in his first delivery during Australia’s second innings, the incident occurred in the sixth over.

Although the Australian opener perfectly middled the ball, it appeared that he was not quite aware of Iyer’s position.

Iyer, who was positioned at leg-gully, dove for cover as the ball blasted off Khawaja’s bat, but in the process, he put both of his hands over his right shoulder, and the ball somehow adhered to his hands. To finish the acrobatic feat, he rolled over and landed on his shoulders.
