Watch Vikrant Gupta hints at Prithvi Shaw having an alcohol or drug abuse problem, video goes viral

While the Indian cricket team started the new year on a high note with a thrilling victory over Sri Lanka a video of Vikrant Gupta and Prithvi Shaw has gone viral

The BCCI has shown little interest in including Prithvi Shaw in Team India’s T20 format.

Vikrant Gupta hints at Prithvi Shaw having an alcohol or drug abuse problem which is keeping him out of the team

Vikrant, current BCCI Chief Roger Binny, and others can be seen in an old viral video together addressing a talk show audience. While agreeing that the Delhi Capitals cricketer Prithvi Shaw is a great player, Vikrant claimed in the video that there are things going on with Shaw that he cannot disclose on the public forum.

More than that, he added, Shaw has been advised to cease doing it several times, but he hasn’t changed. Then, a voice says that current cricket star Prithvi Shaw is following in the footsteps of the legendary Vinod Kambli.

For those unaware, Vinod Kambli struggled with alcoholism during his time as a professional cricketer. The police in Mumbai detained Kambli a few years ago after he allegedly crashed his automobile into the entrance to a Bandra, India, housing complex. They say they found him drunk.

Shaw’s career hit a minor roadblock in 2019 when he was handed an 8-month ban from BCCI for a doping violation.

Indian cricketer Prithvi Pankaj Shaw was born on November 9, 1999. He has represented India in all formats. He’s now a member of both the Mumbai domestic team and the Delhi Capitals team in the Indian Premier League.

He made his Indian cricketing debut at the tender age of 18. And he set a record by becoming the youngest player ever to strike a century in his first test match. Shaw, a right-handed opening batsman, made his international debut on October 4, 2018, and immediately created history by becoming the youngest Indian to score a century in a Test and the second-youngest Indian to score a century in a Test overall, behind only Sachin Tendulkar.

Prithvi Shaw was given the responsibility of leading India’s Under-19 team at the 2018 Cricket World Cup in December of 2017. Through his leadership, India won their fourth Under-19 World Cup by defeating Australia in the final by an 8-wicket margin.
