In his video, Shane Byrne expressed, “I acknowledge the belated nature of this apology, recognizing that the failure to address it earlier was entirely misguided.

“I am cognizant of a 2013 video clip circulating and generating reactions on various social media platforms. I extend a sincere apology to the woman and the other women present on the podium that day.

“My conduct at that time was entirely inappropriate and unacceptable on all fronts. It is a moment I profoundly regret, and I extend my heartfelt apologies to the woman, my supporters, and anyone else who was offended by my actions.”

Despite his apology, the video clip continued to fuel dissatisfaction and anger. Tim O’Donnell expressed on social media, “Hoping for the conclusion of Shane Byrne’s career.”
