CDS General Bipin Rawat had recorded a speech on the evening of the eve of his unfortunate helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu
Although the last rites of CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulikha have now been carried out, the massive void left by his demise continues to leave an aching.
The CDS, his wife and 11 other armed forces personnel tragically lost their lives during a Mi-!7 helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu, one which left only the one survivor, Captain Varun Singh. The upheaval wrecked by the tragedy has since sent ripples across the entire country, one which saw the land stand up as one to pay respect to the departed.
Video Of Last Speech Of CDS General Bipin Rawat Surfaces
A video of CDS Rawat has now surfaced, one which was his last speech. Recorded on the evening of the eve of his helicopter crash in Coonor, the CDS had implored the people of India to join in with the celebrations of the Indian Army during Swarnim Vijay Parv, the event which commemorates the victory of the Indian Army in the 1971 war.

This message was played in the morning of the first day of the Vijay Parv event on December 12.
CDS Rawar, “On the eve of the Swarnim Vijay Parv, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the soldiers of the Indian Army. We are celebrating the 50th year of India’s victory in the 1971 war in this Vijay Parv. On this auspicious occasion, I am remembering the brave soldiers of the armed forces and dedicating a tribute to their sacrifices.
“From 12 to 14 December, various programmes will be organized at the India Gate. We are fortunate that the Vijay Parv will be organized in the shadow of Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial which was built in the memory of our brave martyred soldiers.”
