Last match of the Asia Cup was held on Sunday, September 11, where the batting line of Pakistan collapsed as Sri Lanka’s team beat them by 23 runs to lift 15th Asia Cup Title.
The Sri Lankan team gave us an all-around performance as they became the Champion for the 6th time.

The Pakistani team had a brilliant start with the bowling but as they started chasing 171 runs, they started falling short of expectations after Sri Lankan bowlers did their great job to rattle the opponents.
Speaking of Pakistan’s team, their skipper Babar Azam once again failed as he only managed to score 5 runs.
However, Mohammad Rizwan was seen struggling throughout the match to improve his strike rate as his 50 was also not enough to rescue his teammates. The right-handed batter managed to score 55 runs for his team including 4 boundaries and a 6.
In a high pressure finale match of T20 Asia Cup 2022, Sri Lanka’s Rajapaksa and Hasaranga let the hosts make an impressive comeback after they lost 5 wickets for just 58 runs.
The 2 batters scored 58 runs out of 36 balls to help Sri Lanka post 170-6 in 20 overs.
Despite being under pressure, the Sri Lankan team put things right on the track as Rajapaksa and Hasaranga proved to be the saviors for teammates.
In the final match, Hasaranga scored quick 36 runs in just 21 balls with 5 boundaries and a six before getting out to Haris.
On the other hand, Rajapaksa was seem to be unstoppable in yesterday’s match as he went out being not-out for 71 runs including 6 boundaries and three maximums.
He also partnered with Chamika Karunaratne to score a worthy 54 runs out of 31 balls.
Speaking of Pakistan’s team members’ performance, Haris picked up 3 wickets while Shadab, Iftikhar and Naseem bagged a wicket each.
In reply to Sri Lanka, the Pakistani team made a good start with its opener Babar, who fell earlier followed by a long list of failures.
However, Rizwan managed to earn 55 runs while Iftikhar scored 32 and their dead rubber partnership was able to score 71-runs.
The duo helped the Pakistani team to reach 147 runs. However the team has to eventually face the loss against the Sri Lankan team.
