Lil Tjay bio

Lil Tjay, real name Tione Jayden Merritt, is a popular American rapper who rose to prominence back in 2017 with the song ‘Resume’. He eventually had a breakthrough in his music career with the release of his song ‘Brothers’, which earned him a record deal with Columbia Records.  Back in June 2022, the rapper got shot seven times during an armed robbery that took place in Edgewater, New Jersey. Following the incident, medical officials flew Merritt to Hackensack Emergency Medical Center, where he eventually underwent surgery. Just two months later, after the shooting, he released a new single titled ‘Beat the Odds.’ The song detailed his near-fatal experience and his eventual road to recovery.

Alex Pereira set to headline UFC 300

Amidst the recent viral incident, Pereira is currently preparing for his upcoming UFC headline event on Saturday, April 13. During the match, the veteran fighter will put his light heavyweight championship on the line for the first time against Jamahal Hill, the former titleholder. The two fighters will headline UFC 300. Notably, ‘Poatan’ claimed his title following a second-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka back in November. Going into the match, both Alex Pereira and Jamal Hill hold 6-1 records in the UFC. Meanwhile, the odds slightly favour Alex Pereira at -135, while Hill has odds at +114.
