Virat Kohli was seen blaring into the sump mic with him blaming SuperSport for messing with the DRS and Hawkeye technology during the 3rd SA vs IND test match

As Dean Elgar opted for a review after he was given out LBW off Ravichandran Ashwin, a massive controversy erupted on day 3 of the SA vs IND 3rd test match. And while the Indian team seething was completely justified with even umpire Marias Erasmus aghast at what he was witnessing, the anger was misdirected.

Virat Kohli Accuses SuperSport Of Fudging Technology After Appalling DRS Call

DRS and Hawkeye showed the ball going well over the wickets, unprecedented bounce which was hard to digest for the ardent viewers tuning into the game. And while many admitted the technology to have committed a gaffe, the Indian team decided to lash out at SuperSport, the broadcaster of the series.

Indian captain Virat Kohli was as ever way too overzealous and willing to jump the gun to guise his side’s own failures on the day. He rushed towards the stump mic, calling out SuperSport as he accused the channel of tampering with the review and advised it to focus on the South African team.

He also talked about the broadcaster having caught Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft using sandpaper to tamper with the ball during the Australian tour of South Africa, one of the biggest controversies of recent time in the world of cricket.

Kohli’s comments have not gone down well with Gautam Gambhir lambasting the Indian captain for his school of thought. Despite being involved with the game for manifold years, Kohli failed to have a basic understanding of how technology functions with the broadcaster only responsible for purchasing it from an independent ICC approved vendor and not its usage.
