The UFC promotion team paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II with her onscreen images. The fans on display at the Arena broke the silence and began singing «USA, USA».
In response to this awful act on the part of fans, the UFC has imposed bans on social media comments. Fans at the MGM Grand Garden Arena kept shouting during the tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. The former UFC lightweight champion and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier called American Savage after reacting to the incident.

Nate Diaz vs Tony Ferguson, UFC 279 PPV took place on September 10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Diaz finished his UFC career with a spectacular victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279.
In his post-battle interview with Joe Rogan, Diaz said he was eager to pursue his dominance in other sports as he ventured outside the UFC. Diaz also said he would show his fellow UFC combatant how to dominate in other combative sports, where many athletes, including Conor McGregor, failed.
He said, “I want to step outside the UFC for a minute and show all those UFC fighters how to take over and own another sport, how you should do it. Conor McGregor didn’t know how to do that and none of those other fighters knows how to do that.”
‘‘So I will go there, I will take up another profession and become the best at it. Everything you mother f****** is outside trying to run other sports, boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu… If you think you’re up! Crème de la crème, I’ve come to get you. And then [having dominated other sports] I’m going to be back here to get an f*****g UFC title, the best title in the world.”
