Arsene Wenger attends his first game at Arsenal’s home stadium, the Emirates Stadium, since he left the club in May 2018 after 22 years as manager with the One Arsene Wenger chant lyrics once again being sung

As a tribute to the former manager, Arsenal fans started chanting “there’s only one Arsene Wenger” when he was shown on the big screen applauding Gabriel Martinelli’s goal against West Ham.

Arsenal fans sang the “One Arsene Wenger” chant after the former manager was shown on the big screen congratulating Gabriel Martinelli’s goal against West Ham in the Premier League 2022-23.

Wenger is in charge of football development at FIFA right now. Arsenal was behind West Ham by one goal at the end of the first half. But in the second half, they came back. Bukayo Saka scored in the 53rd minute, Gabriel Martinelli scored in the 58th, and Eddie Nketiah scored again in the 69th.

No wonder Arsenal fans followed the “One Arsene Wenger” chant with “Super Mik Arteta,” which was for the current manager Mikel Arteta. The 40-year-old former Arsenal player who is now the team’s manager has made the North London team punch again in the league, which may be the first time since Wenger ended his 22-year run.

The Gunners are at the top of the league table right now. They have 40 points from 15 games. Even though they have played one less game than last year’s winner, Manchester City, they are now eight points ahead of them.

Eddie Nketiah, on the other hand, was the shining star of today’s win. As a replacement for the team’s first-choice striker, Gabriel Jesus, he had a lot of pressure to do well. After a boring first half, he changed things up and scored the third goal, putting to rest any doubts Arsenal fans had about him.

There is still a lot of the Premier League left, and the Gunners have a long way to go, but if they win their first game back after the World Cup break, it will show that their early form is still strong, even without Jesus.
