The clip sparked outrage on social media.
Umir, a football writer and content developer for publications like GQ Magazine, expressed their anger and displeasure with KSI and the Sidemen squad for the incident on social media.
“As a longtime follower of KSI, I found it strange when he used the word “paki” in the most recent Sidemen video, even if they bleeped it and said it was “in jest” for the content. Other racial epithets wouldn’t be employed in YouTube game shows as punchlines. Simply mocks the term and specific individuals’ experiences.”
Umir continues, “The Sidemen team’s failure to edit it out shows that they approved of its inclusion, which is so absurd to me. They didn’t see anything wrong with people using the word for cheap chuckles. That downplays the importance of the subject. Most often, racial abuse against Asians is not taken seriously.”
Fact the Sidemen team didn't edit it out suggests they were fine with it in which is so mad to me. They didn't think the use of the word for cheap laughs was an issue.
That minimises the topic's significance. Racial abuse toward Asians is taken less seriously, more of the time.

The prominent has written an apology on Twitter in response to this outrage, and the content producer later announced his intention to temporarily stop using social media.
KSI issues a public apology for the racial insult
I wanna apologise for saying a racial slur in a recent Sidemen video. There’s no excuse, no matter the circumstances, I shouldn’t have said it and I’m sorry.
I’ve always said to my audience that they shouldn’t worship me or put me on a pedestal because I’m human. Im not…

KSI advised his followers not to regard him as an idol or put him above other people. At the conclusion of his address, he said that he would be avoiding social media “for a bit.” The YouTuber acknowledged in a tweet that he is not flawless and that he will err, adding that lately he has been doing so frequently. The choice to temporarily stop using social media has so been made by him.
About 8 million people have seen the YouTuber’s apology to yet, with 58K likes and more than 1,960 Twitter reactions from fans. Not for the first time has KSI been forced to apologise for using offensive language. When he uttered a transphobic insult in 2021, he apologised and said he “didn’t even know that t***** was a nasty phrase.”
