The incident took place on Monday, during Bolton’s trip to Oakwell for a League One match. Both clubs are in the promotion play-offs in the third division, and they are competing to move up to the championship.

Despite their rivalry, two fans have crossed the line to exchange contact information with the help of a steward. There is a film of a steward chatting with a Barnsley supporter sitting in the first row of a stand at Oakwell. He then walks up the steps of the away stand, past a line of coworkers, and hands the paper with her number on it to a man who has been waiting there.
