Reportedly, after the match, the defensive midfielder went out to party with his friends and during the night, he filmed himself inhaling the gas. The video has been swirling around the internet as fans are criticizing the Tottenham footballer.

The now viral-video features the 27-year-old footballer uncontrollably laughing while inhaling the notorious oxide from a balloon. As aforesaid, the viral video features the footballer inhaling the gas in a chauffeur-driven limousine with his friends.

In a shocking twist, Yves Bissouma, himself shared the video on Snapchat. Let us remind you, the possession of nitrous oxide with intent to get high has been illegal since last year. As per law, the repeat offenders can face up to two years of jail and an unlimited fine.

After the video went viral across social media platforms, Yves Bissouma, came forward as he apologized for his actions and described the incident as a โ€œsevere lack of judgment.โ€

In his apology, Bissouma acknowledged the seriousness of his actions and the potential health risks involved, stating, โ€œI understand how serious this is and the health risks involved, and I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously.โ€

Meanwhile, the Tottenham Hotspur has announced that they are investigating the matter and will handle it internally.

Bissouma, who joined Spurs from Brighton in 2022, is not the first Premier League player to be involved in a controversy surrounding the use of nitrous oxide.
