Jalen Rose, an ex-NBA point guard, was among the hundreds of spectators at TD Garden on Wednesday for Game 3 of the NBA Finals with people quick to remind how Kobe burnt him

He is a fairly well-known personality in the basketball world as a basketball expert and a big voice on ESPN. And one lucky fan was privileged enough to snag a picture with him at some point throughout the night. Unfortunately, Jalen Rose is also renowned for allowing Kobe Bryant to drop 81 on him. That reputation came back to bite him when a heckler attempted to roast Mr. Rose in the center of his courtside shot.

Despite the fact that Kobe Bryant lit up the whole Toronto Raptors roster that fateful night, younger fans only remember Jalen Rose as the guy who got 81 unloaded on him by Kobe Bryant.

However, because he was the team’s most well-known member at the time, he bears the brunt of the responsibility. The incident occurred in 2006, and Rose has been roasting about it since then.

In a segment from “Jalen vs. Everybody,” Kobe laughed about it while ordering a martini with 81 olives after welcoming Jalen during a commercial.

Rose was at TD Garden signing out signatures and snapping pics for Game 3 of the NBA Finals when a fan decided it was the best time to tease him about the 2006 game.

After stumbling into each other at a restaurant. The former playmaker never forgets about that night or when Kobe requested a martini with 81 olives.

What Jaslen Said:

“How about this,” Rose remarked last year. “I saw Kobe after he dropped 81 on us at a hotel and he got a martini with 81 olives.”

This, on the other hand, is an allusion to Kobe joking with Rose in a clip from “Jalen vs. Everyone,” where he orders that drink after welcoming Jalen. It’s one of the funniest things in NBA history, demonstrating Rose and Bryant’s calm demeanor despite the jokes.

Bryant, sadly, died suddenly a few years ago and is no longer alive to discuss his career. His friends, family, followers, and competitors, on the other hand, preserve his reputation and legacy alive by telling stories about his life. Rose’s career will be forever linked to Kobe’s (for all the bad purposes), but he’s not to mind. In truth, he, like the rest of us, undoubtedly admires Kobe.
