At Goodison Park, tensions have been building for some time, but after the crushing loss to the Saints, they have finally erupted. A group of incensed spectators surrounded and obstructed the players’ route as they were leaving the stadium in their own automobiles. On Saturday night, a video of Mina getting out of his car and confronting fans who were in his way went viral on social media. One of those individuals was speaking to the defender directly.
“You’re going to leave us if we lose, won’t you? If we go to the championship, too. You will depart. Will you be there if we go to the, will you agree to remain if we take the train down to the Championship.” The fan urged the player, “I want you to demonstrate heart.โ
Although Mina could be seen pointing to the Everton badge, his reaction to the fan was inaudible. Following Mina’s remarks, the fan became more and more animated.
โShow us some heart then. Take charge. Talk up. Passion is all we need. Show us some passion. Show them you’re the man by speaking out, young man.”
After shaking hands with a few of the supporters who were blocking his car, Mina maintained his composure. After that, a policeman came up behind Mina and tried to drag the defender back to his car.
