In another example of his poor on-field behavior, Shakib al Hasan uproots the stumps and shouts at the umpire during a domestic fixture on 11th June.
The former Bangladesh captain is currently playing for the Mohammedan Sporting Club in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League. Infamous for his poor on-field behavior, the cricketer lost his cool yet again. During the Mohammedan vs. Abahani Limited match on 11th June, he uprooted the stumps and shouted at the on-field umpire.

At first, Hasan kicked the stumps after the umpire had turned down a Mushfiqur Rahim leg-before appeal, approached him and shouted at him.

Then during the drinks break, he walked towards the umpire, uprooted the stumps and and smashed them on the field. Apparently, he was protesting against the umpire’s decision of calling off play due to rain. His team had bowled 5.5 overs of the game. The D/L method would have come into play had it been 6 overs. Hence, the umpire had clearly frustrated Shakib with the his decision.

Shakib later apologized for his demeanor on his Facebook page. “Dear fans and followers, I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home. I apologize to the teams, management, tournament officials and organizing committee for this human error.”
DPL 2021: More About Mohammedan vs Abahani
Mohammedan had put up a score of 145/6. Shakib was the top-scorer with 37 runs off 27 deliveries. In return, Abahani were 31/3 in 5.5 overs when play was called off. When play resumed, the Duckworth Lewis method was used. Abahani needed to get to a target of 76 in nine overs. However, they finished with only 44/6 and Mohammedan won the match by 31 runs.
The 34-year-old has scored over 10,000 international runs and taken nearly 600 wickets across formats. One of the finest spin-bowling all-rounders in contemporary cricket, he had come under the limelight in 2019 for not reporting a corrupt approach. He was slapped with a two-year ban and one-year suspension.
