What Egypt have done to visiting teams was finally meted out to the country’s own football side on Tuesday night. Look at this, Mohamed Salah was stoned by Senegalese supporters yesterday after they lost.
This is all shades of wrong, the spirit of football is no more.
What if Senegal had lost yesterday? That means they would have killed the Egyptian players.

The visiting country’s players were jeered and booed by the Senegalese fans as they arrived to their team hotel and during warmup. And things remained the same across the course of the fixture as well with the home fans raucously doing everything plausible to waver the Egyptian players concentration.
They brought out lasers, shining them in the face of the Egypt penalty takers with the age old trick working like a charm. Mohamed Salah was peppered with lasers right before he stepped up for his penalty, one he eventually ended up sending way over the goal into the stands with Sadio Mane converting for Senegal to send them through to the impending world cup.
Having defeated Egypt for the second time on the bounce after their win in the AFCON 2021 final, the Senegalese fans were joyous as the final whistle blew. However, things needed little time in turning sour as they stormed the pitch to try and attack Salah with security needing to step in to ensure the player was able to safely head down the tunnel.
He was persistently struck with missiles from the concourses with Egypt also claiming their players were racially abused in a match riddled with unsavoury incidents.
