Roman Reigns ensured he followed the COVID-19 norms as he put on a mask before fighting Finn Balor at WWE Extreme Rules 2021
The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has knackered the US across the course of the last couple of years. With over 300,000 positive cases at the moment in the country, the land finds itself reeling under a fresh wave as vaccination hesitancy and an overburdened healthcare system helps in the spread of the disease.
While a magnitude of media outlets have decided to turn a blind eye to the dwindling medical condition in the country ever since the change of regime, numbers unfortunately can’t be guised. And in a bid to promote the message of the importance of masks during the ongoing pandemic, WWE came up with a brilliant segment during Roman Reigns vs Finn Balor during Extreme Rules 2021.
Roman Reigns Wears Mask Before Fighting Finn Balor At WWE Extreme Rules 2021
The showpiece event saw the Tribal Chief take on The Demon in a showdown which was eagerly awaited. The main event of the PPV at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio saw Roman head into the crowd in attendance to take his strife with Balor forward as the two sparred for the Universal Championship title.
However, before he headed into the crowded space, Roman Reigns was captured putting on a black mask in a bid to ensure he was able to keep the threat of COVID-19 at bay. The moment was a much welcomed one at a time when a slew of NBA players in the form of Kyrie Irving and others are taking a staunch anti-vax stance.
